Netanyahu: 'The Iranian missiles get bigger, but the 'death to Israel' threat stays the same

Expressing fervent condemnation of the delivery of Russian S-300 missiles to Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Sunday that their arrival in the Islamic Republic would come at a time when "Iran is increasing its aggressiveness in the region and around Israel's borders."

Netanyahu said at the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting that the Israeli government not only views the delivery of such weapons in severe terms, but is also alarmed at the international community's lack of recognition regarding Tehran's belligerence.

"No conditions have been made addressing this aggression, either in the initial phases of the [nuclear] agreement or in the removal of sanctions."

The prime minister then repeated the refrain that Israel will do what it must to protect itself, and highlighted Iran's recent military parade, in which the Bavar 373, Iran's variant of the S-300 missile, was unveiled, as proof that the Islamic Republic is not interested in diplomatic solutions.

"Every year the missiles get bigger, more accurate, more powerful and more deadly," the prime minister added, noting that despite the missile's evolution, one thing does not change: the slogan of "death to Israel" that is scrawled on the missiles.
